Sunday, September 15, 2019:  Why these books (and not others) in the Bible? (2 Tim. 3:16)

—————————————

St. John’s United Church in Campbellford, Ontario, is a Christian Church that seeks to fulfill the mission of Jesus Christ, who we believe is the Messiah – the One who brings life, truth, and salvation to this world.  We strive to accomplish this work of Christ through our motto noted above.  Here are some examples:

We Celebrate

We celebrate God’s presence with us in Jesus Christ through worship on Sunday mornings but also through fellowship with one another.  The ladies of the congregation have great fun and fellowship when they make pies with one another – you really should try their pies!

We Care

We care for our community and the people of our community.  We express this care through various benevolent works, and through our monthly FREE community meals – we partner with the Salvation Army for this meal.  Everyone is welcome to the community meals.  Please join us the first Sunday of every month in our auditorium.  It starts just shortly after 12pm.

We Learn

As long as we are on this earth, we never stop learning, but as a Christian Church we believe there is a special place to learn of God and His Son Jesus Christ.  We learn of God in our own personal devotions.  We also learn of God through the teaching provided in worship, the Sunday School, and our Wednesday noon Bible Study.

This is just a little bit about us, a family of Christians learning to live out our faith in the world.  We would love to meet you.  Come and introduce yourself personally or send us an email just to say “Hi.”

May the Lord bless you on your journey around the Internet, but especially on your journey of life!
